Tripoli – Libya | In accordance with the resolutions of the local governments of the Tamazight speaking regions in year 2012 AD, regarding Amazigh New Year Holiday; And in reference to;

– The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
– Resolution of the Amazigh Supreme Council number 3, of year 2013 AD, regarding designating the first day of the Amazigh Year as a public holiday.
– Article 17 of the bylaw of the Libyan Labour Law number 12, of year 2010, regarding observing public holidays in the next working day if they fall on a weekend.
– General National Congress law number 18, of year 2013.

The Amazigh Supreme Council announces that the second day of the Amazigh year 2968, that coincides with 14/01/2018 AD, is a public holiday in all areas of local governments that are members of the council, in observance of the first day of the Amazigh Year that falls this year on the weekend.
On this occasion, the Amazigh Supreme Council wishs you a happy holiday, and wishes that year 2968 would be a year marked by happiness, stability and prosperity to all our people.
