This April 20th, 2016 marks 36 years since the Amazigh Spring “Tafsut Imazighen”, student and the people of Kabylia in Algeria were violently handled by the government forces in an effort to repress their legitimate cultural demands.

To commemorate this special event, the Amazigh Cultural Network in America and the Boston Amazigh Community are partnering together to host an open discussion forum on the present state of Imazighen across North Africa with a special guest Mr. Akli Sh’kka.

The event will take place on Friday, April 22th from 4:00-8:00 PM in the The Noddle Island Community Room located on the lower level of the Rental Car Center Facility at Boston Logan International Airport.. There will be a reception with snacks and drinks following the event. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Akli Sh’kka is a filmmaker and Amazigh activist from Libya. He is the spokesman at the Imouhagh International Youth Organization and the founder and director of Toumast TV.
